Release 4 is not compatible with Windows 95 and Windows
3.1.
Release 4.02 (and later) has been updated for use with Windows 7.
If
your church, ministry or non-profit organization is currently registered to use Release

upgrade to Release 4, you can upgrade for a
limited time. See the details below. |
Features in Release
4
Church Contribution System for Windows
for Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows Me, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows NT
|
- Release 4 will operate in the
Windows 7 and Windows Vista operating system.
|
- Release 4
has the same ease of use as previous
releases.
|
- Enhanced Data
Backup: If automatic backup on exit and the default backup
destination is specified in System Options, you can select to change to
or create a different data backup destination folder before backing up
on exit. You can backup (copy) the data files in the active folder from
within the program without exiting (File | Backup). When exiting or
backing up from a previous year's folder, if the automatic backup on
exit and default backup destination is specified in System Options for
that year, you will be able to select a different destination backup
folder into which the previous year's data will be copied.
Note: If you are using a CD as your backup media and your computer is not
capable of copying files directly to a CD, a procedure is outlined so
you can use the program's backup feature as one of the steps.
|
- Deposit List Identifier: Option to group
contributions during entry into a maximum of 9 different user-defined
deposit lists. The feature was designed to allow churches to generate
more than one bank deposit list on the same entry date. Note: All
contributions entered before the Deposit List Identifier option is
enabled will be assigned to Deposit List 1. This feature is enabled in
System Options.
|
- Contribution Summary Report: Optional Arrange
Giving Units by Total Amount Contributed. When Arrange Giving Units by
Total Amount Contributed is selected, you can set the Start Amount
Contributed and End Amount Contributed. The report will include only
those giving units within the date range specified that have contributed
within the amount range specified for the selected Contribution
Categories.
|
- Contribution Summary Report: Optional setting on
the Include tab to include only pledging Giving Units that did not meet
their Yearly Pledge.
|
- Contribution Summary Report: Optional Generate
Mailing Labels after the report to include Contribution
List/Contribution List Totals Report Type. Besides printing the mailing
labels, the mailing label data can be exported to a text file to be used
as a data source in a word processing or spreadsheet program.
|
- Pledge Report: Options to arrange the Pledge
Report by total amount pledged for Yearly Pledge and Additional Pledges.
A monetary pledge range can be set for the report.
|
- Export Contributions Data: The following fields
are included in the exported data: DepositID and EntryDate
|
- Enhanced Fiscal Pledge Year Support: Using the
program with a Fiscal Pledge Year allows printing of a giving unit
statement during and at the end of the calendar year for income tax
purposes that shows total amounts received by the church during the
calendar year. You can also include pledge status totals for the current
fiscal pledge year. Note: In Release 4 for a Fiscal Pledge Year, the Year
End Routine is followed at the end of each calendar year. Fiscal
pledge totals are carried forward automatically as part of the year-end
process.
|
- Calendar Pledge Year: Using the program with a
Calendar Pledge Year allows printing of a giving unit statement during and
at the end of the calendar year for income tax purposes that shows total
amounts received by the church during the calendar year. You can also
include pledge status totals for the current calendar pledge year. Note:
As is previous releases, the Year End Routine is followed at the end of
each calendar year.
|
- Yearly and Long Term Pledges: You can record
both yearly and long term (Additional) pledges in the same data file. Set
up yearly pledges following the church pledge year. Set up Additional
Pledges for specific categories for the long term pledge drive (e.g.,
Church School Building Three Year Fund Drive) with a separate begin and
end date, frequency of giving, etc.
|
- User-defined Member Status: Seven User-defined
personal status indicators along with Active and Inactive.
|
- Report and System preferences are stored in the
data folder (except for network setup). When you
access previous year's data or if you transfer the program and data to a
new computer, the Report and System preferences will remain with the data.
|
- Print Receipt for Access Level 5.
|
- Personal Information Report: By Family Giving
Unit, can include work phone, fax and giving unit and personal email
recorded for individual. By Individual will include giving unit email if
no personal email is recorded for the individual.

Giving Units under Giving Units header.
|
- Member Directory: Giving Unit names will wrap.
|
- Amount totals for contributions made in a
previous pledge year towards a pledge in the next pledge year can be
edited/added after completing the Year-End Routine.
