Church Treasurer Release 4 for Windows
Upgrade
Release 4 is not compatible with Windows 95 and Windows
3.1.
Release 4.02 (and later) has been updated for use with
Windows 7.
If
your church, ministry or non-profit organization is currently registered to use Release
1.00 through 3.03 of the Church Treasurer for Windows and you would like to
upgrade to Release 4, you can upgrade for a limited time. See the details below. |

4
Church Treasurer for Windows

- Release 4
has the same ease of use as previous
releases.
|
| Bank Account Balance Button |
|
- A button has been
added to specific windows that, when available and selected, will
display the balance in the Treasurer for the specified bank account.
This new feature can be found on the Enter Transactions windows, Edit
Transactions Browser Options windows, the Edit Transactions Browser
window and the Prove Bank Statement window.

| Enhanced Data Backup |
|
- If automatic backup on exit and the default backup
destination is specified in System Options, you can select to change to
or create a different data backup destination folder before backing up
on exit.
- You can backup (copy) the data files in the active folder from
within the program without exiting (File | Backup).
- When exiting or
backing up from a previous year's folder, if the automatic backup on
exit and default backup destination is specified in System Options for
that year, you will be able to select a different destination backup
folder into which the previous year's data will be copied.
Note: If you are using a CD as your backup media and your computer is not
capable of copying files directly to a CD, a procedure is outlined so
you can use the program's backup feature as one of the steps.

Importing Deposit Totals | Edit Posting Date |
|
- When importing the
Deposit Totals form the Church Contribution System, you can edit the
Posting Date before the Income Transaction is posted in the Treasurer.

| Batch Check Printing |
|
- You can print expense checks in a batch selecting to
print them either singly or continuous depending on the check style and
print position requirements.
|
- Lesson 3 in the Church Treasurer Tutorial includes a
section on "Using Batch Check Printing."
|
|
| Export Relational Database Tables |
|
- The Export Relational Database Tables option is
provided for the advanced relational database developer to use the data
from the Treasurer in a relational database.

| Location of Funds Report |
|
- Added field for Last Posting Date to Include on
Report. The report is a "snapshot" of the Location of Funds as of the
Posting Date in the Last Posting Date to Include on Report field.

| Transactions Journal |
|
- A new report type that will include only the
transaction types you specify (income, expense, transfer, etc.).
|
| Edited Transaction Display |
|
- For an Expense Transaction, the check number remains in
the same order within the posting date when the following are arranged by
Posting Date: Transactions Journal, Edit Transactions Browser, Prove Bank
Statement Transaction List Display, Purchase Order Transactions Report
(closed purchase orders).

| Incremental Updates |
|
- Free Incremental Updates of the
Church Treasurer (Release 4) for Windows available for
downloading from our web site until the next major release.
|
Note: Release 4 does not support
printing multiple report pages (4 and 9) on a single physical page. There
are many printers and printer utilities that
support printing multiple report pages on a single physical page.

Release 1, 2 or 3 unless you have the new Release
4 Registration Password. The Church
Treasurer will be disabled until the new Release
4 Registration Password is

The following
features were added after Release 1:

| Purchase Orders |
|
- You can record purchase order information to show
money "committed" for ordered items.
|
- The Budget vs Expenses report more accurately reflects
money currently available when using the purchase order feature.
|
|
- Posting an expense for a purchase order item
automatically displays the stored purchase order information in the
Expense Transaction fields. If necessary, you can modify the displayed
information before posting the expense.
|
|
- Lesson 3 in the Church Treasurer Tutorial includes a
section on "Using Purchase Orders."
|
|
| Income Source Reporting |
|
- If you keep track of income
sources (contributions, interest, rent, etc.), you can create Income
Source Report Filters to select specific Income Source Categories to
customize your report.
|
| Enhanced Report Options |
|
- You can specify to include only items with activity
on the Income vs Expenses, Expenses by Item, Income Source and Open
Purchase Orders by Item reports.
|
- You can specify to include or not include the Spending Limit and
Unused columns on the Budget vs Expenses Report.
|
| Auto Backup on Exit |
|
- When you change to a different
data folder (directory) to edit or view data from a previous year (File |
Change Directory | double click on year) and you exit the program
while the program is using a previous year's data folder (directory), you will be able to back up
the previous year's data folder (directory) to the location specified in System
Options | Program tab field Default back up directory.

|

Sales Tax
NJ residents include sales tax, sales tax exempt number or
copy of sales tax exempt certificate. If we already have your sales tax
exempt number on file, you do not need to provide it again.
Email Delivery of the Upgrade
Registration Password
If you are paying by MasterCard or
VISA, the quickest way for you to receive the Upgrade Registration Password is to
submit the Online Order Form from our web site following the instructions
in the Email Delivery of the Registration Password ordering option. After
we process your order, you will receive the Registration Password on an
invoice attached to an email. For Email Delivery details and to fill out
the Online Order Form, choose the Email Delivery of the Registration
Password link below.
You may also request email delivery
of the Upgrade Registration Password in a mail order. Send a printed copy
of the completed Upgrade Postal Mail Order Form (see link below) with
check or MasterCard/VISA information to us by Postal Mail. Check the box
under your email address requesting the email delivery. If payment is by check, the
Upgrade Registration Password will be emailed to you seven to ten business days after we
receive your order.

Send a printed copy of the completed
Upgrade Postal Mail Order
Form (see link below) with check or MasterCard/VISA
information to us by Postal Mail. Do not check the box under your email
address requesting the email delivery. If payment is by MasterCard/VISA,
the Upgrade Registration Password will be mailed to you by First Class
Mail the next business day. If payment is by check, the
Upgrade Registration Password will be mailed to you by First Class Mail seven to ten business days after we
receive your order.
After You Receive the Upgrade
Registration Password
Download the latest Incremental
Update installation file from our web site (Update button at the top of
the web page) and install the update at the same location on your computer
as the current program. The program files will be overwritten, but any
data in Trial Mode (or Registered Mode) will not be affected. Note: Before
updating or upgrading a program, you should have backups of your data as we
recommend. Copy the downloaded program installation file to floppy disks
or a CD for reference or to install the program on a computer that does
not have Internet access.
If you want a copy of the program
installation files shipped
to you on a CD, there is an extra fee (see Upgrade Postal Mail Order Form
link below). The program
installation files you receive on the CD are the same as the files on our
web site. Note: The Installation CD contains the Single Program
Installation File for both the Church Contribution System for Windows and
the Church Treasurer for Windows. Remember, you will be downloading free
Incremental Updates for the program from our web site (Update button) to
keep your program up to date with the latest features and fixes until the
next major release of the program. The Incremental Update file is a full
program installation file. We recommend that you copy the latest
downloaded Incremental Update installation file to
floppy disks or a
CD for future
reference
or to install the program on a computer that does not have Internet
access. The Incremental
Updates are only available on our web site.
